Lilia rolled her eyes once again at his ridiculous and immature comments. She sighed and released the hold on her glare. She was trully getting a bit tired of that. "Pfft. That's very mature of you. Occupying your time mocking someone else. Why don't you just grow up, Malone?" She actually cracked a smile at his next words. No one could be so utterly ridiculous. She rolled her eyes again, this time a laugh in her voice. As if she were actually having fun. She cleared her throat and tried to make her words as mocking as possible. "I was being sarcastic, idiot. Macho Man doesn't even begin to describe you. You're more like...Peewee." This was not true. Evan had a good body...hell, he had a great body. But Lilia was not about to accept something like that. She would just leave it at what she could make up...though her insults and comebacks were becoming scarce. His words ceased to hurt her feelings, though. Say whatever he wanted, he had no idea how many guys would fall at Lilia's feet. She was an attractive girl, and she was especially good with words and persuasion. "You must be comparing myself to you," she answered, "I mean, look at you. Who could possibly be more feminine that that?" She smirked. Terrible comeback...too terrible...but it made her laugh.

She continued to stare at him, at his sudden uneasiness, his random stillness, his averting of the eyes...his voice...everything about him at that precise moment. Her heart beat steady fast and hard. Her white cheeks filled with a pink blush. She swallowed hard to talk, still staring at him. "Are you...feeling okay?" She asked. The tone of her voice was bewildered, but shockingly calm...not her usual voice, with him.

She held up a hand to stop him from speaking any more. She shook her head, her head throbbed painfully. "It's exactly what you meant to say. Don't p-pretend like it's all of a sudden not true. It's fine, though, if what you really want to see is me dead...your wish just might come true." Her head buzzed. Her heart shattered. Why did it hurt her so much? So he wanted her dead...big deal. Or was it? The only thing Lilia knew was that she was going to make him pay for ever having treated her the way he did. She wouldn't look at him anymore. She was sick and tired of Evan's insults and provocations. She shook her head. "I don't care if you think I'm fun to be around or not! Point is, we are stuck together, there is nothing you can do about it, there is nothing I can do about it, so just shut up and DEAL with it!" Her hands were balled into fists. It took all her strength not to aim a punch at his white teeth. How she would have loved to break them at that moment. She sniffed lightly and shook her head in disgust. And there he went again with his desperate wish to see her dead. It was like a thousands knives stabbing her in the stomach. Her back still to him, she made to walk away. "...I will...thanks for the suggestion. I deserved death from the moment you cursed me with your prejudiced title, anyway. But you...you don't even know me...just remember that when my funeral day comes. If your lucky, that day may be some time next week." And with that, she walked out the grand school doors again, the tears finally bursting out of her tired and restraining sapphire blue eyes.

He smiled softly at her glare. Something about her made him feel as if this were all a big joke. He had almost suppressed a laugh, before he said: “What is the point in growing up? You just grow up, you get there, you are bored for the rest of your life, and then you die. Wow, that sounds like fun. Yet, I do not wish to make my life as cliché as that. I’m going to take new lengths, and I am going to have fun.” He said, continuing to smile with his sickening smirk plastered upon his lips. He was sure that she would take that in a wrong way, but he never implied that it would not be with her. Maybe he was changing himself without realizing it. He shrugged softly. “Eh, that works too.” He said. She was probably expecting him to say some more self absorbed comments, but he did not. He smiled widely. She tried so hard to insult him, yet he felt nothing towards it. He only shrugged and agreed again. He had heard worse comments.

Something about their position now had changed. She was almost civilized, he was almost aware of everything that he was and could ever be feeling for her. The wedding was coursing through his head, but he no longer felt disgusted. He kept his eyes down to the ground still, finally looking up and locking his eyes within hers to answer his question. “Yeah, I’m fine.” He said softly. “Just…” He stopped. He didn’t have the words for it.

He wanted to say something to her, anything just to make her stop hurting, just to make her stop thinking the thoughts she was. He didn’t mean half the things he said, but he knew what he could say to back it up would mean nothing but less of what she thought of him. He was not worth anything to her. He never was, and he never would be. What in Merlin’s name was he trying to prove? She was perfect, wasn’t she? She was someone that he was supposed to hate. He was someone that he swore he hated for six years. Now, though, the clock was ticking, and a new plan was forming. He smirked. “I am dealing with it, you’re the one that has gone completely bonkers, and I wouldn’t be surprised if steam started pouring from your ears!” He snapped. She was so frustrating. As he listened to her rant, though, it was almost as if he could see her eyes water. He went to reach for her, but before he knew it she was gone. Leaving no trace in the darkened hall. It was only him, his sorrows, and his recollection of his stupidity. His life had now ended. He would make sure of that.

Lilia stared at him for a moment, surprise and curiosity slightly etched in her face. Well...he was right, when he put it that way. She, too, refused to live a cliché. It was a very small part of the reason she hated the idea of this arranged marriage...she hated the idea of being with one person forever. But Lilia was not about to agree with Evan. Instead she smiled slightly, pity forced into the glint of her blue eyes. "What are you, Peter Pan?" she asked with a low snicker. It was lame of her, even she felt it. She knew she was going to get a terrible come-back for that, but frankly, she didn't really care. His sefl-centered immaturity was starting to grow on her...when he wasn't cruel. She bit her lip when he didn't react to what she said. But, of course he wouldn't. Her words were weak, lame intentions of hurting his feelings...they weren't going to work on him. She cleared her throat slightly and looked away. He was so annoying...

Something was very odd...something was off. Something seemed to...change. She swallowed and looked away. The way he looked was suddenly too much to bare. "Just...what?" she asked warily, her voice so soft.

She shook her head. Why wouldn't he say anything? His silence made her feel as if she truly was worthless. Lilia couldn't see Evan's face, but all she knew was that he could have been laughing silently at her pained reactions. She wouldn't hold it against him...he'd been hurting her one year after another. She refused to take it anymore. Lilia blinked twice and let out a reluctant sigh. "Just the fact that I have to spend the rest of my life with you...it's driving me insane. I won't be able to stand you, I may end up killing you." It was a stupid, immature thing to say. But she didn't care. It's what she felt...or at least, what she wanted to feel.

The fact that he told her more information that she needed to know was irrelevant. He was like a puppet, slowly dancing to the strings that she strung for him, and if he didn’t dance that she would seep into him, tear through him until he was lifeless and begging for death, yet he could never pull up the will to beg for anything but to shoot her down in an equal terror. The words had dripped from her venomous lips, almost as if she were to spit on him and he would receive acid burns. “Leave it to you to bring in a muggle Fairy Tale. What kind of Slytherin are you?” He asked, smirking softly. He assumed she saw that coming, and he was waiting for the next blow that she had packed in her pocket to throw at him. He smirked again. “I’m sorry, no matter how badly you want me to be Peter Pan or how hot I will look in them, I am not wearing tights.” He said, speaking as if he was some uber hot model that everyone wanted to get in bed with. He only pictured her laughter at this.

His eyes held a sudden feeling that he never ever thought would rush over him. The moment that he saw her standing there was like the rage of hell seeped into his veins and tore the very life that he, barely, wished to live. “Nothing,” he said in a grave whisper.

For the first time in his entire life he had regretted the things that he had said to her. He had hated himself for things that only she was supposed to hate him for, but it didn’t make sense. He felt like she had drugged him, or hexed him and just didn’t remember it. Something, though, made him pity her, and not only that, but also envy her. “Then kill me. There’s no reason to wait now is there? I’d rather not have a life with you anyway. I refuse to live in depression.” He said, almost angry, but his mind did not understand why he was saying such things. “I’m writing to my father, whether he thinks I am a disgrace or not. I’d rather he think I am worthless then marry someone who will remind me of it everyday of my life.

She glared at him. That was a really idiotic thing to say. Was he against the muggles? Lilia wasn't. She was neutral in everything, but she personally thought that muggles were...did she dare say it...fascinating. She lifted her chin and glared at him. "What kind of person are you? There is nothing wrong with muggles. It doesn't matter how much of a 'slytherin' I may be, I refuse to treat muggles and muggleborns like the shit everyone insists they are!" She stared at him for a second. Or perhaps it was ten seconds. But all too soon, her face lit up in a smile and a musical laugh escaped her lips. A real laugh. "Wow. No comment, Malone, just...no comment."

She couldn't stare at him anymore. Emotion that she couldn't describe began rising in her throat. She had to look away. But at the same time, she really wanted to know what Evan was going to say. He was going to say something. "No...tell me. I won't..." she froze. He didn't want to say anything...what was the point?

She bit her lip. She could have done it...she could have just killed him. She hated him enough. She was equipped with all the right materials. There was nothing against killing now. She was a slytherin...it was pretty much what she was trained to do. But she couldn't do it...she couldn't see him dead, for some reason. Not now...not ever. She shook her head, not saying anything. "All right...you do that. You do whatever you want. I don't care anymore. I never cared. Whatever. I just hope i never have to see you again."

He stared at her, completely amazed, but still remained with his ignorant facial expression so that she did not feel like she was getting to him. He would not let her. "Hey, I didn't say there was anything wrong with them, I said that most Slytherins believe there are, which would make you a bit non-Slytherin-esque." He said, smirking softly. "You do have a goodness in you, then, maybe you're supposed to be a Hufflepuff." He said, snickering. He was not surprised that she laughed at him, but the sound of his words make him laugh as well. "Oh, come on Lilia, give me your best shot." He said, and completely unaware that he spoke her name.

The meloncholy lingered in the atmosphere, ready to strike down at all costs to give a deeper feeling of awkwardness. Her words made him look up suddenly. "You won't what? Laugh? Destroy my life? Ruin me? Well that's considerate of you, why don't I just say it, but wait... you WILL laugh, destroy my life, and ruin me. It's never stopped you before."

A curiosity lingered in his mind. Did she really want to kill him, or was just just being coy when it came to be embarassed about liking him? It was moments like these that made him wonder what their life, really, would be like together. Would they be happy? Would they fight? Or would they learn to love one another without complication? "What if I said that I don't want to have to write to my father? What if I said that I would go through with it? What do you think about it?" He asked, smirking softly.
