 Reporting For Duty [[Silke, only]]

The first night he did not sleep in the cellar was much more comforting, but his jobs were more difficult and there were more of them. He did not listen to scream this time, though, instead he was requested upon letter and several hours ago he was told to report to the Animagus room at six o'clock, p.m., sharp. He stared at the cellar wall, watching the clock tick with a soft "tick, tock, tick, tock." It was quarter to six and Klouce rose from the trophy room that he was currently polishing, and sighed softly. Just another job, right? Just another comment filled night about how muggleborns were useless. If they were useless, though, then why were they slaves? Obviously that was some use, wasn't it?

Klouce pulled himself up the many stairs. He wasn't really tired this time around, for the cellar was the only place he lost sleep over. He had a quite nice of a rest, but now it was time to get back to work. His shirtless self slinked his way up the cement steps, and he had lost track of what floor he was on. He debated to wait and ask, but slaves weren't allowed to communicate with anyone other than those they were supposed to address. He sighed, looked around, and the painting on the far wall had reminded him. He was almost there, almost there.

His black hair shaded his face from his surrounding. He stared at the door of the classroom he was scolded to enter. He took a deep breath and entered in several moments late. It was empty and he supposed the teacher was in her office, but if she did not see him then she could not yell at him for not being there sooner, right? He sighed softly, beginning to pick up the room in hopes he could pass it off as if he had been there the entire time. He knelt down to the cement floors, scrubbing them like every classroom, and leaving his naked back to the doorway as he let out struggled cries of tired scrubs.

Silke had been staring down at the paper she needed to correct, and sighed. She hated teaching, hated school, and yet -- here she was. It was for a good reason, and no matter how much she hated doing all of this, she would fight on. Even if it killed her... Literally! Someone had spoken to her earlier that a slave would be in to clean up her classroom. Good. She made sure that she would be alone for that period of time. Maybe she could help another poor soul, after all, that was the reason she had become a teacher. The world had gone from screwed up to fucked up pretty quick, and even if she was just one person, she'd fight until she could fight no more to right the wrong comitted. There was a lot at risk, but... It needed to be done.

Jumping slightly, almost forgetting that someone was supposed to be there, Silke leaned back against her chair from within her office. Leaning slightly, she peered out of her doorway to see a boy enter, then start to work. His agonized cries were enough to tear the soul from the body, and only reinforced the mission. Silke, as much as she hated to admit it sometimes, had a soft spot for suffering people and sometimes let it show by helping those in need. Carefully, and quietly, she snuck up behind the cleaning boy and knelt down next to him, her slender pale hand resting over the hand in which he held the brush. "Stop." She commanded softly, but firmly. This was the first time she was going to try this, because she had to secure she spot as a muggle-born hating pure-blood before.

His hands were rough, which is what so much hard work will do to the skin. Silke took in a deep breath, trying to stop her heart from beating too loudly. She was almost positive they could hear it as far as China. She didn't want this boy to know she was scared. She needed to be firm, but soft. How the Hell do you do that? She thought. It didn't make sense to her, but she had to try. For the Greater Good.

Fallen angels at my feet
Whispered voices at my ear
Death before my eyes
Lying next to me I fear
She beckons me
Shall I give in
Upon my end shall I begin
Forsaking all I've fallen for
I rise to meet the end.

His knuckles were slowlylocking up. He could feel his body screaming at him, telling him that if he didn't stop soon then he would roll over and die from lack of food and such. His stomach roared at him, and he only looked down at his thinned self and said: "shut up, stomach." He cursed at his fingers as they began to burn from the pressure he put on the brush. His body ached and at times he felt like just sitting back and stopping, but it seemed so strange. He was not tired before he started scrubbing, and then all of a sudden his body just snapped into an endless tiresome state. It was times like this that he wished he could just cower back to the dungeons and hang himself. This was not a life, right? So he wouldn't really be ending anything, right?

He was not alarmed to hear the door open from the balcony above. He was alarmed, though, when she had touched him and instructed him to stop. He threw his brush down, his hands shaking, but he tucked them against himself so he did not show weakness. "I'm sorry, did I forget to do something first?" He asked, his voice shaking in fear. The tone of her voice was strange to him, so much purer and so much kinder, and so caring. He was almost afraid, as if she was tring to seduce him, like the shop owner had. He backed away for a moment. "Please..." He begged. "Don't take your clothes off." He said in a grave whisper. He was aware that if that was not her intentions then that would be an awkward request, but he had been through so much. To him, it was usual.

His calloused hands were screaming with want to just stay immobolized. He reached for his brush again. "I have to... I don't want to see you get hurt just because you feel sorry for me." He said, quickly grabbing the brush again. His strangled breaths were released again. He did not look at her, but he managed to say: "I'm used to it." Through gritted teeth. No one should be used to this treatment, but he had to pretend to be.

No, no.” She said, almost cooing. Her voice started to gather a bit of strength. No one was going to listen to anyone who didn’t command power. She took in a short breath and sat back from him. Her silver-green eyes scanned the thinning boy and she shook her head. “I want you --.” She stopped, eyes narrowing at the sound of his pleas. Take her clothes off? Her jaw dropped a little, and she shook her head in a quiet rage. Not against him, of course, but against those who had been so terrible to him. This was so much easier with Relly. Of course, she also knew Relly, and Relly had shown up on her doorstep. No issue there. However, convincing someone to give up all that they knew for something that would be closer to Heaven… would sound too unbelievable. Too good to be true.

Silke bit her lip tenderly. “I’m not here to hurt you.” She said, casting a nervous glance about. “And I’m not going to take my clothes off. I’m here to help you get away from all of this.” She watched as he moved back to his chore, and she clenched her jaw. None of her anger was directed at him, though it was a bit frustrating. This wasn’t his fault, and she had made this choice. She wasn’t about to back down.

Deft hands reached out and snatched the brush from his hands. “Stop, please!” She hissed. Shaking her head. “I’m willing to put myself in danger for people like you. Don’t you know how inhumane your treatment is?” She asked, shaking her head. Her voice had lowered into that of a sweet, quiet pleading with him. “I’m not a brain-dead Death Eater here to try to convince of something so that I can kill you for rebelling against the Dark Lord. My name is Silke O’Calaghan, and I’m the owner of a hide-away house for those who have been made into slaves. I’m here to set you free.” She said, her hands tightening on the scrub brush.
